Who I am
This website is run by Shameem Reza. The site address is https://shameemreza.com. If you have questions about this policy, you can reach me through the links on the contact page. The rules for using the site, affiliate links, and the code published here are on the terms page.
Comments
You can comment on posts without an account. The form asks for your name, your comment, and an optional email address.
- Submissions are received by Netlify Forms, which checks them for spam with Akismet. Netlify keeps the submission under Netlify's privacy policy.
- I read every comment before it appears. Approved comments are published with your name, your comment, and the date.
- Your email address is never shown or published, and it is never added to a mailing list. It stays with your submission in Netlify Forms. If you give one, it is used for two things only: showing your Gravatar(through a one-way hash kept with the comment, under Automattic's privacy policy), and sending you one email when I reply to your comment. Reply emails are sent throughResend. Without an email, your initials are shown instead and no email is sent.
- If you want a comment of yours edited or removed, message me on LinkedIn and I'll take care of it.
Booking a chat
The "Book a free chat" buttons open a Google Calendar booking page. When you book, the name and email address you enter are handled by Google and shared with me so I can send the meeting details. They are subject to Google's privacy policy. I only use them for that conversation.
Ko-fi
If you support me through Ko-fi, your payment is handled entirely by Ko-fi and its payment processors (PayPal or Stripe). I never see your payment details. See Ko-fi's privacy policy for how they handle your data.
Cookies and analytics
This site stores your theme preference (light or dark mode) in your browser's localStorage. This is not a cookie and is not sent to any server. It stays on your device.
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are visited, how long people stay, and where traffic comes from. Google Analytics sets cookies on your browser and collects data including your IP address, which Google may anonymize depending on your region. This data is processed by Google and is subject to Google's privacy policy.
I use this data only to improve the site's content and performance. I do not use it for advertising or share it with any other third parties. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by using a browser extension that blocks tracking scripts.
Embedded content
Posts on this site may include embedded content from other websites (videos, images, code embeds, and so on). Embedded content from other websites behaves the same way as if you visited that website directly. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data I hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict processing of your data.
- Request data portability.
